(ahem....) the new cd....lol! This just to say that it is indeed
coming out sometime this year Lord willing, and it is indeed really almost done. The artwork is in progress last time I checked. And the title has changed to "Simple Work". Currently it has 11 tracks. Not my favorite number but 11 it is nonetheless. It will have all 5 tunes from the "1211" ep ~ each one has received a thorough remixing. If you don't like your local college radio station you can call them and ask them to play the new seven octaves cd, which of course they don't have yet, just for fun. Or you can call them and tell them they had
better never play the new seven octaves cd ever, or else.

I did something I said i'd never do. I pimped the myspace page.
Just a little. Oh and a finished song off of the new cd
is now on the slightly pimped myspace page. Please go there,
leave embarrasingly gushing comments and come back.

Then go here and check out this guy's music & photography.
He's pretty witty on the site and constructs some fun
ambient-ish funky stuff. Great titles too.

Time flies...I have been occupied with things pertaining to this project 'tho! I've been re-recording all the audio for the upcoming album in 24 bit. So the mixes are also being revisited and re-thunk as I continue to learn. Basically I want the overall sound of the next release to be delightful to our ears.

Also working on a video for Sakasai. Not sure when that'll be done since it's such a long song!

In the meantime - here is a little piece of music recorded recently for a song contest I enter fairly regularly, to keep myself writing, recording, learning etc.

This one is from the January contest - I was quite pleased with it, so that it is likely it too will appear on the next album, with some tweaks, of course.

Bored? Looking for new, interesting music? I came across a
cool ep online by an artist who used an unearthed cassette
from his childhood for samples and as a launching point for
his musical ideas. It's good listening and quite entertaining.

for free download until Jan 1st 08. The song titles on the

Loaded a Christmas song into the player and you can download
it below. I've been wanting to do one since last fall but no song
inspired me to record it. This year a few have struck me but for
now I've gone with Michael Praetorius' biggest hit.

lo How A Rose E'er Blooming

I used the following vsts: Tetra, Bini, Dr. Modus, Oud,
Universal Sound Module, X hip synth, Vivaldi, iblit, Solo String v10, Am Unifyer 2, Strings, Stringz and Lallapallooza Lite v2.

Also used were the following effects: Ghi, GBand, Sub Filter, Tom HP Filter, Classic reverb, Classic Flanger, Classic Delay, Ambience reverb, Classic Auto Filter, Step Filter.

The very quick mastering job was done using various Voxengo plugins.

The new ep "1211" is up and available through the month
of October. Just go to the home page, look for the
pretty picture and click on the titles to download. I'm
pretty happy with the selections that got picked
(see below).

Because of what looks to be a relentless schedule for
fall, I've decided to release 5 tracks from the finished
album as a free ep right here on the site. I'll put all
the titles in a hat, pull out 5 and offer them as
a free ep for the month of October. I haven't been
able to commit to a running order for the full length
anyway, so I'm interested to hear the order that
happens.

Look for other tracks to be made available for sale
on the myspace page.

There is a new video on the home page for
"Icy Friends", which is endowed with lots of meaningful and
meaningless things - all at the same time. Mostly I just wanted
to give you pretty things to look at while you listen to the song.
